Something Different

Try something different for your bridal shower or bachelorette party

Your best friend is getting married. You’re so happy for her, and want to help make her special day fabulous! You’re doing everything you can to help her on that day, and it’s all set. You’ve been so focused on the wedding planning, that you haven’t had time to focus on the party before the wedding … the bachelorette party.

Bachelor parties are pretty straight forward, not much planning is needed. The guys will hit a sports bar, maybe a strip club and they are all set. But, as a maid of honor, you want to make your friend’s party unique, memorable and classy.

Try something different … a chocolate party; jewelry party; or … try a wine tasting.

  • A chocolate party will satisfy the sweet tooth and introduce you and your friends to delicious ways to use chocolate … it’s not just for dessert.
  • A jewelry party will give you and your friends the opportunity to try and select jewelry for the pre-wedding, wedding and post-wedding. And, it’s just fun to try on all new jewelry. Connect with a local jeweler and let them know you’d like the bridal party to come in to find a favorite piece for the wedding. Who doesn’t like to dream about diamonds?
  • A wine tasting will introduce you and your friends to sharing wine and food and discovering wine in its true essence. You’ll want to have a professional wine guide available to help you discover all the aromas, flavors, and characteristics. The wine guide will come to your home to help you experience this unique and memorable event.
  • A Wine Tasting for Your Event — What to expect

A good wine guide will provide you with options for the event, as well as recommend the appetizers, and also help you plan a “theme” for the event. In some cases, there will be a separate fee for the guide’s time; in other cases, the wine purchase will cover the guide’s time. Regardless of which option you choose, the wine tasting will be delicious, fun and memorable.

A fun option for bridal showers is to let your guests know that in lieu of other gifts, guests can contribute toward a personalized case order or other wine order for the bride and groom. That way, guests can relax and know that their gift will be happily enjoyed!

I’ve done several wine tastings for bachelorette parties, and they were fun, after all it’s a celebration of a fantastic upcoming event! What’s not to love?

Finally figured it out

For the longest time, I couldn’t figure out how to get my Great Wine Source image at the top of my blog. I’m not familiar with PHP and so didn’t want to change the actual PHP templates.

Well, I took a chance and it worked!! I’m so excited. Now, I think I can actually finalize my store this weekend!

WordPress is pretty fantastic, and the best part of all …. it’s free!
